NCHRP-350, Level 3 Crash Tested.
J-J Hooks® meets and exceeds NCHRP-350 Level 3 test for both Jersey & F-Shape Barriers.
State and Federal transportation officials require positive connection barriers for increased safety.
(Also meets European Containment Level H2 for fixed barrier and Containment Levels T1, T2, and T3 for temporary safety barriers.)

The Federal Highway Administration memorandum regarding guidelines for application of the Roadside Design Guide requires states to use only crash tested barriers that have been tested and classified as operational on Federal-aid projects. |
Transportation officials in the majority of states, as well as many European and South American countries approve J-J Hooks®. The design provides a safe and efficient, low cost, temporary or permanent barrier system.
100% integral connections allow no loss of structural integrity due to bent or missing hardware. J-J Hooks® provides a continuous shear connection throughout the barrier system.

"SUMMARY OF FINDING: The J-J Hooks® Jersey shape PCB system contained and redirected
the vehicle. The vehicle did not penetrate, underride, nor
override the installation. Maximum deflection of the barriers
was 1.30 m. Fragments from the PCB were small and did not
penetrate nor show potential for penetrating the occupant
compartment, nor would they present undue hazard to others
in the area. Maximum reduction of space was 7.9% in the instrument
panel to floor pan area, which was judged to not cause serious
injuries. The vehicle remained upright during and after the
collision event. The vehicle did not intrude into adjacent
traffic lanes as it exited the test site. Longitudinal occupant
impact velocity was 5.9 m/s and longitudinal ridedown acceleration
was 3.7 g. Exit angle as loss of contact with the PCB was
9.4 degrees which is 38% of the impact angle." |

Dear EASI-SET® Industries,
I am writing regarding your J-J Hooks® temporary concrete barrier wall connections. On a recent project on I-40 in Arkansas, we installed over 26,000 linear feet of Temporary Barrier Wall in 20' sections. Due to the ease of installation and the lack of loose hardware, this installation was made in six shifts. This product saves time and money. Additionally, removal was simplified by not having to pull pins or shake walls loose. During 18 months of service there were several impacts by tractor trailer rigs. The J-J Hook connections never separated. I wish to commend you on a superior product.
Sincerely,
Don Stegemoller, Chief Estimator
